| Notes |
- Thomas Cresswell and John Holdaway sailed from England on 27 April 1841 on the "Whitby". Their families followed on the "Mary-Ann" five months later. Thomas became sick while on the ship and died two weeks after arriving in New Zealand. His was the first burial in Nelson. Unfortunately, there was no way of letting Amelia know of her husband's death as she had sailed from England on 24 September.
