  Second son born to Norman and Antoinette was Ronald. While my mother was carrying him, however, my father'syounger brother (also Ronald) was stricken with T.B., and Antoinette offered toburse him back to health. In this, she was not successful, and herbrother-in-law died, but not before apparently infecting her, and she passed the virus onto the child she was bearing. Consequently, when Ronald (the namesake) was born,he was named after his uncle, now dead. He, too, had not long to live,since he died in fancy, thereby leaving a gap of four years between Alex and hisnext brother.
