    • Wesley Spragg was not fond of his son-in-law Fergus. He thought he was a crook because Fergus had misappropriated funds that Hetty and her husband Charles Spragg had put aside for emergencies during the War. Fergus was the Town Clerk at Gisborne at the time and Hetty and Charles Spragg had a farm in the area. Charles was still away at the war when the funds went missing.
