  • Notes
    • Following the death of his parents, Revely Roberts lived with his brother Alfred and wife Edith for a few years. Then he moved to Katanning and lived with his brother Mark and his wife. He does not appear to have had much schooling, but enjoyed reading very much.
He worked as a grader driver on the roads in Katanning before going to the war in the Air Force, where he fought in the Pacific. On his return to Western Australia, he was granted a War Service farm in Rocky Gully. His wife had left him by this time, but he was able to take his son Mick, to work with him there. Although conditions were very tough in the new settlement, Rev seems to have enjoyed the life of a pioneering farmer. He was a smoker and developed a heart condition that eventually killed him.
