  Peter Henry Cattanach appears on his wedding certificate as a 'coachman'. Sarah Ann Stevens lived in Ramsay, Huntingdon, on the main route from Scotland to London. Their first child, Janet Louise, was born in Ramsay, Huntington, two months after her parents were married. The thirteen other children were born in Dundee, Angus, Scotland. Peter worked at Hazel Hall, which was owned by the Maitland family. He included this name when two of his children were christened, David Baxter Maitland and Mary Ethel Maitland. Family rumour has it that Mr Maitland was, in fact, the father of the two children.
