  Edith was described as ' well educated'. Her photos show her as a very attractive woman. She probably spoke with a broad Scots accent. She arrived in WA on the 'Omrah' in 1914. She is celebrated on the Fremantle Welcome Wall. Linley Bodis, her granddaughter, has the travelling box that she brought fom Scotland .
