  Witnesses to George and Rebecca's marriage were Richard ANDREW and Sarah BRIGHT. George and Rebecca with four daughters, Susan, Jane, Emily and Anne, departed from Southhampton on 26 October 1856 aboard the "Hindostan" and arrived in Sydney on 13 February 1857. George was said to have served in the Crimean War [1853-56]. There are three children still not traced, born between 1848 and 1855, two girls and one boy. One would assume that the boy would have been called George.
