- Death obituary:
The funeral of the late Captain W.H.M. Roberson , who passed away at his home, 2728 5th street on Monday last took place yesterday afternoon at 2pm from the Sands Funeral Chapel. The service was largely attended by relatives and friends and the casket was covered with numerous beautiful flowers. The following gentlement acted as pallbearers: Mr. A. J. Read, H. Stephens, J. Montgomery, P.L. Sampson, J. Simpson, H.O Austin. Deceased was extended full military honors and the casket was born to Ross Bay Cemetery on a gun carraige. A large escort and a firing party preceeded the cortege to it's last resting place. 3 volleys were fired over the grave and the bugler sounded the last post.
Died at age 40 in Victoria.
